A short path to the facts

How does FactifAI turn a claim into a clear report?

Built around retrieval-augmented generation, so every conclusion starts with traceable evidence.

  1. 01

    Understanding

We extract the exact checkable claim and identify its key terms.

  2. 02

    Retrieval

We search the web for relevant official records, articles, and reputable reporting.

  3. 03

    Analysis

We compare the evidence, cite it, and explain where uncertainty remains.

Methodology

Facts first.Conclusions next.

FactifAI does not treat an answer from a large language model as a source. It first retrieves relevant material from public records, datasets, and established reporting, then uses AI to synthesize the trail.

Every report separates documented fact, reasonable interpretation, and unanswered questions, so that you can inspect the logic, not merely accept a label.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions about AI fact-checking.

Does FactifAI search the web before giving a verdict?

Yes. FactifAI first identifies the checkable claim and retrieves relevant, current sources. AI then compares and summarizes that evidence; an answer from the model is never treated as a source.

What happens when credible sources disagree or evidence is missing?

FactifAI can return a Mixed or Unverifiable verdict instead of forcing a yes-or-no answer. The confidence label, limitations, and unanswered questions show exactly where the evidence remains uncertain.

What is the difference between a Basic and Full report?

A Basic report uses 1 credit and gives you a concise verdict, key facts, and cited sources. A Full report uses 2 credits in total and adds claim-by-claim evidence, counter-evidence, source-quality review, open questions, and a PDF.

Can I open and inspect the sources behind a verdict?

Yes. Reports list the cited sources with direct links and show which evidence supports each finding. You can inspect the original material rather than relying only on FactifAI's summary.

Are my submitted claims and reports public?

No. Your reports remain always private. Public fact-check pages are created and published separately through editorial review. You do not need a password-based account; email verification lets you recover your private reports and credits.
